This weekend is the Greater Vancouver Home Builders' Association's (GVHBA) annual Parade of Renovated Homes. This year, the event takes place on Sunday, May 31 from 10am to 4pm, and will feature eleven beautifully renovated homes throughout the Metro Vancouver area. Home renovations include both interior and exterior transformations, including raising a house to add another level, and a complete interior gutting for a full-home overhaul.

The GVHBA builders who remodeled the showcased homes will also be on site at each home to talk one-on-one with visitors about the renovation process and all the stages involved in home transformations. Metro Vancouver home prices were only up marginally at 0.03% in April as reported by Teranet today.

We've also experienced signs of a peak in house prices and feel we may have seen the hottest markets of the year already and are due for some softening or consolidation.   That may be a welcome relief for buyers but lower than historical inventory should keep supporting the prices for now.
