Bonsor Complex (6550 Bonsor Ave, Burnaby) is a recreational centre that is located next to Metrotown, in the heart of Burnaby. Exciting changes are happening on the upper floor of the complex! The complex will soon be equipped with a new indoor cycling studio of 800 sq. ft. housing 22 spin bikes and a new active studio of 2,000 sq. ft. The renovations also include a community open-space seating area for parents and members to meet and connect. The grand re-opening will be held in February 2017.

Bonsor offers a vast array of sporting activities, such as swimming, racquetball, weight training, yoga, badminton, ping pong, seniors' centre and more. We wanted to mention some specific highlights of one of Burnaby's leading rec centres.

Only one hundred years ago what used to be farmland has now become the third largest city in British Columbia. Our beloved city of Burnaby, boasting a population of over 233,700 according to a count taken in 2014, is estimated to grow by an additional 122,000 over the next 25 years. The city has been evolving by an ever changing skyline in the Metrotown area. In view of such evolution, Metrotown is becoming the new downtown of Burnaby.

To meet the needs of our ever growing city and to better accommodate the high number of passengers, TransLink has been working hard to upgrade Metrotown Skytrain Station and bus exchange.
