April 2021 Market Update

The Spring market has been record setting.

Low Inventory and Low Interest rates have been the major theme along with pent-up demand and people looking for larger spaces to work from home.  Less people are commuting to work and buyers seem willing to consider new areas perhaps further from the 'old office'.

In the past few weeks we've also seen Condos join the party and we expect some further price appreciation as this segment of the market catches up.

We also expect to see more inventory help balance conditions.

BEWARE-  we feel a goverment intervention could throw a wrench in the spokes of this market at any time.  (Similar to the foreign buyer tax that was like a nuclear bomb on the market in July 2016 after a blistering spring)   This is likely to be a sudden and unprecedented move if it does occur.
